Our Mission

Here at Fringe for the King: Tzitziot With A Story, Kaite works to make Tzitziot that have extra meanings tied into them. Through the use of colors, numbers, and different ties, Katie works to link different Scriptural meanings throughout Tzitziot.

What do we believe?

Katie believes that all of Scripture, from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22, is relevant to our lives today. This includes the commandment to wear Tzitziot as found in Numbers 15:37-41 and Deuteronomy 22:12. Katie works to make Tzitziot because it is something she loves to do. She does not believe that it is a chore or a burden to wear Tzitziot. On the contrary, for her, it is not a chore or a burden at all. Both creating and wearing Tzitziot are a joy and an honor and she treats it like such.

Again, Katie does not see Tzitziot as a chore. It is not because she has to wear Tzitziot that she does this. We are given the opportunity to wear Tzitziot and make Tzitziot because our King wants His people to be a light unto the world. YHWH gave us His Word to follow. We do not follow His Word because it will save us; we follow His Word because we are saved.  Kaite finds it a joy and honor to both create Tzitziot and wear Tzitziot. Kaite wears them to remind herself and those around her of all that YHWH has commanded His people to do and to remind us of all that He has done, is doing, and will do.

Why do we do this?

YHWH, when He created mankind, created them in His image (Genesis 1:27). This means that when He created them, He gave mankind creative power. Look at what He had just done previously all throughout Genesis 1! YHWH created numbers and colors for a reason; they have meanings that they represent. What Kaite works to do here is take those numbers, colors, and ties and use the creative nature that YHWH has given her to make Tzitziot that represents the truths that YHWH presents in His Word: Scripture!
